On 16 October 2007, the Spanish Ministry of Culture and the Australian National University signed a cultural cooperation program. This program grants up to 50% cultural projects related with Spain and that are therefore carried out in Australia, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu or in any of the countries that the Embassy of Spain in Canberra is accredited to.
