Work Visas / Work Permits for non EU Nationals
A residence visa and a work permit are required when planning to work in Spain.
Only applicants with permanent residency in the UK may apply at this Consulate General (see here for jurisdiction).
The prospective employer must have applied for the work permit and obtain the “resolución” at the Spanish Ministry of Labour before the applicant can apply for a residence visa at this Consulate General.
Applications must be made before moving to Spain (a residence permit cannot be obtained with a tourist visa once in Spain).
Applicants must apply for the visa within the first month after receiving the “resolución”. The visa must be applied for in person. Applications by post are not accepted.
For visa appointment please write to the address 20 Draycott Place, London SW3 2RZ, enclosing a stamped addressed envelope.
In case of visa refusal the fee is not refundable.
