28/01/2010. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Miguel Ángel Moratinos is attending the International Conference on Afghanistan being held in London.
The aim of the London Conference is to endorse the priorities and objectives presented by President Karzai in his investiture address, and to set up the political framework for the gradual transfer of powers to the Government of Afghanistan in order for it to exercise full sovereignty, including in matters of security.
In London, the Government of Afghanistan will put before the International Community a set of Strategic Documents addressing the issues of security, reintegration of insurgents, good governance, the fight against corruption, economic development, aid effectiveness and regional cooperation.
