The Directorate-General for Foreign Communication of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation hereby issues the following communiqué:
The governments of Spain and Venezuela ratify in the strongest terms their condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
The government of Venezuela refutes and denies information published about its supposed collaboration with the terrorist organisation ETA, the activities of which it wholeheartedly condemns.
Both governments reiterate their commitment to continue to collaborate in judicial and police matters, effectively implementing existing instruments of cooperation.
Spain and Venezuela declare their firm intention to strengthen their friendly and productive relations, based on broad cooperation in all spheres, including the fight against terroris.
